Buhari, Donald Trump To Attend Chief Emeka Offor’s Father's Burial - POLITICS -

Nnewi – Anambra State born oil magnet, Chief Emeka Offor on Sunday warned pickpockets to steer clear of the funeral of his father, Chief Bennett Offor that will hold this week at Oraifite, Anambra State.

He said security arrangements had been put in place to pick anybody who would misbehave on the occasion, warning that he will not spare anybody, including hoodlums who may like to embarrass his friend and well wishers that will attend the burial in any way. .

Meanwhile President Muhammadu Buhari and American President-elect, Mr. Donald Trump and many other African leaders are expected to attend the funeral.

This was disclosed by the Vice Chairman of the Pa Benneth Offor Burial Committee, Mr. Tony Obi, while unveiling the burial plans Pa Offor who died in Febuary this year, at Emeka Okafor Foundation Centre, Oraifite, Anambra State.

According to Sir Offor, “my father served the Nigerian Police meritoriously and retired after 35 years of service, so nobody will be allowed to come here and mess up his funeral. Security arrangements have been put in place to deal with miscreants.”

“Pickpockets would often sew uniform and infiltrate the funerals of rich persons in the State and steal people’s valuables, including telephone and money, but we are waiting for them in Oraifite, that day may be their last that will land them in prison, to be fore warned is to be fore armed.”

Chief Offor said members of the National Assembly would be led to the funeral ceremony by the former Presidents of the Senate, Chief Ken Nnamani and Senstor Anyim Pius Anyim, while many people from all walks of life will have promised to come.

“My father was a very nice man, he gave me so much encouragement and everything you see me doing was initiated by him.He is a passionate philanthropist who would always like to see smiles on the faces of everyone that came in contact with him and I must tell you that most of the guys you see me hang out with were introduced to me by him.

Aliko Dangote Pledges To Help Federal Government Turn Around Nigeria's Economy

Aliko Dangote Pledges To Help Federal Government Turn Around Nigeria’s Economy - BUSINESS -

Foremost industrialist and richest man in Africa, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has restated his commitment to assist the Federal Government in turning around and diversifying the country’s economy.

He said this in Lagos on Friday where he was honoured as “Man of the Year 2015’’ by The Guardian Newspapers Limited.

He said that he was working hard with his company to take Nigeria to the next level and that within the next two and half years, Nigeria was going to excel in some critical areas.

“We want to do that by looking at critical areas where Nigeria is not doing well in terms of local production and tackle the problem areas.

“Number one is refinery, Dangote Group is building a refinery which will produce 650,000 barrels of petrol per day; the current capacity that we have as a country now, both the ones that are working and the ones not working, is just 450,000 barrels per day.

“Our petrochemical is ten times that of Eleme, we are at 1.3 million, Eleme is 120,000, so it will be the largest petrochemical industry in Africa.

“In fertilizer production, we are not only trying to satisfy the market, but our size is three million tonnes which is ten times more than what is available in Nigeria today.

“We are trying to make sure we satisfy the local needs and also export and we thought about how to address our power issues, the only way we can address power issues is to have enough gas and sort out distribution.

“Distribution is important because unless you collect money from the consumers, you cannot grow.

“There are two sub-sea gas pipelines coming from Bonny which will produce about three billion volume of gas which is exactly about the same size of LNG.

“We are committed to turning around the economy of Nigeria and in the next two and a half years, Nigeria will be the highest oil petroleum products export country, will be the highest in terms of fertilizer export, will be the highest in petrochemicals export.

“Nigeria will also be the highest in terms of cement export in Africa,’’ he said.

Speaking on bailouts for the states, Dangote said: “I don’t believe the Federal Government should continue to be bailing out the states, the states have to sit down and plan to cut costs instead of looking for bailout and being lazy.

“They can create jobs and give incentives to people to come and invest, they should assure people that they are not going to be slammed with various taxes which is what some of them do.’’

Dangote added that the current situation of the economy would push people to work harder, to work in terms of diversifying the economy.

Earlier, the publisher of Guardian Newspapers Limited, Lady Maiden Ibru, had said that they were honouring Dangote because of his impact on the lives of Nigerians and Africa.

She restated the role of the newspaper in the society as working for the enduring benefits of the people and being critical and identifying as well as publicizing heroes as a way of redirecting the values of the society.

The first “Man of the Year’’ award was presented to former president Olusegun Obasanjo in 1987.

Some of the guests at the event were former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, Bishop Alexander Gianniris of the Diocese of Greek Orthodox Church, and former Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Chris Ali. (NAN)

"My View Regarding The US Election" TB Joshua

"My View Regarding The US Election"- TB Joshua Replies - CRITICS -

Upon release of the US general election results, criticisms have littered the social media over the failed prophecy by TB Joshua, which stated that Hillary Clinton Would win the election. However, the cleric has taken to his facebook page to express his view concerning the matter, here's what he has to say; (Pictures Below)

MY VIEW REGARDING THE ELECTION (US)

We have seen the outcome of the election in America. Having read, you will notice that it is all about the popular vote, the vote of the majority of Americans.

In this case, we need the Spirit of a Prophet to recognize or to know a Prophet. Our levels are different. We are not on the same level.

We might have great cathedrals, huge bells, and all kinds of activities that are good by human standards but human point of view is limited.

1 Corinthians 1:25. The foolishness of God is wiser than that of men and the weakness of God is stronger than that of men. There is no shortcut to spiritual maturity unless earthly understanding gives way to spiritual enlightenment.

I see many people trying to interpret prophets on the basis of their own minds and ideas. The prophecy seems to cause uproar, to many who gave it different meaning and interpretation.

Finally, campaigns and elections in any democratic country in the world are never about one person, it is about the country we care and love. Whichever way it happens, we must accept the outcome and then look to the future (God), the Author and Finisher.

Democracy is all about accommodation. All democrats must value the process of democracy more than the product.

God bless the United States of America.

Daimond Bank Staff In Prison Over $1m Fraud

Diamond Bank Staff In Court Over $1m Fraud - CRIME & CRISIS -

An employee of Diamond Bank Plc, Mr Babatunde Fato, has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on allegation bordering on, false declaration of assets and fraud to the tune of $1 million.

Mr Faro was brought before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja on a 4-count charge on Friday.

He was arraigned alongside another suspect, Mr Sada Adamu.

The EFCC accused Mr Adamu of making cash payment of the said sum being an amount exceeding the stipulated N5 million threshold payable cash by an individual according to law, to Faro.

The offence, the anti-graft explained, was a breach of Section 1(a) of the Money Laundering Act, 2011 as amended and punishable under Section 15(2)(b) of the same Act.

But the accused persons pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to them.

In view of their plea, counsel to EFCC, S. A. Ugwuebulam, asked the court for a date to commence trial.

However, W. Y. Maman and W. T. Iorshe representing Mr Adamu and Mr Faro respectively prayed the court to grant the accused persons bail pending trial.

Opposing the motion, Ugwuebulam stated that, “the offences border on money laundering and other financial transactions without licenses. I urge the court to discountenance the motion for bail and order speedy trial of the case”.

Justice Dimgba, thereafter, adjourned to November 14, 2016 for ruling on the bail application and ordered the accused persons to be remanded in Kuje prison.

2019: Adamawa Government Reveals Atiku's Presidential Ambition

2019: Adamawa Government Reveals Atiku's Presidential Ambition - POLITICS -

The Presidential ambition of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has been exposed ahead of his 70th birthday celebration. This was made public by the Adamawa State government through Abba Jimeta, the Chief of staff to Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, during the flag-off of the construction of Girei-Wuro Bokki road by Governor Muhammad
Jibrilla yesterday.

He said all elected and appointed officials in the state would work for Atiku as soon as he declares his intention to contest. “The entire Adamawa state government is firmly behind the former vice president ; whereever he (Atiku) goes, the state is government is behind him. “From the Governor to the Deputy governor, the Secretary to the state government, Commissioners, the special advisers and special assistants and all other political appointees and members of the State House of Assembly are behind Atiku Abubakar”.

Jimeta said this will be in appreciation of the huge contributionsof Atiku Abubakar to the economy of the state and the nation. “Such an important figure in Adamawa State, we as a government have nothing to pay him back, than to support all his political ambitions and to give him our support if he declares to run for any political office”, he added.

Recall that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who has refused to give up on his political ambition has ended up been considered as one of Nigeria's famous political prostitutes. Atiku, who vowed never to defect to any other party when joining the APC has over the times been accused of making secret moves aimed at perfecting his next political destiny.

Political watchers have hinted that if President Buhari decides to contest in 2019, Atiku may end up leaving the party for the PDP who is seriously shopping for a prominent and wealthy northerner to field against the incumbent President or any other candidate of the ruling APC. And if Buhari refuses to recontest, it is believed that Atiku would catch into APC's plan to allow the north complete its eight year tenure to fulfill his presidential ambition.

However, Atiku has repeatedly denied any plan to defect from the APC or contest for president. Such secret moves and interests are the major cause of the current problems rocking the ruling party including its inability to conduct its Board of Trustees election, which Atiku and Tinubu are billed to have serious interest in.

Versatile Reporters recalls that Atiku contested the presidential primaries of the APC and came a distant third position.

Buhari Unviels Recovery Plan In December

Buhari Unveils Economic Recovery Plan In December - POLITICS-

Insists on $29.9b loan in meeting with Saraki

Following two days of brainstorming in Abuja, various teams drawn from the public and private sector have concluded work on various aspects of a new and comprehensive economic blueprint for Nigeria.

Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udo Udoma whose ministry organized the retreat stated that contrary to critics’ misleading opinion that the federal government lacks an economic programme, President Muhammadu Buhari had laid out one in his 2016 Budget speech.

According to the minister, the president’s economic vision, the Strategic Implementation Plan drawn up by his ministry along with vibrant ideas canvassed or analysed at the retreat would be harmonised and launched as the federal government’s comprehensive economic development programme next month.

“It is helpful to note that the National Economic Recovery and Growth Plan will play a signalling role, while also promoting coherence and coordination.

“In other words, by putting government strategies, directions, policy priorities and intended initiatives in one place, other stakeholders are better able to take their own strategic economic decisions.

“In addition, economic actors in various sectors will be guided by commonly derived objectives in the plan which promote coordination and prevent duplication and needless dissipation of scarce resources.

“The planning process also provides an opportunity to review the trajectory of the economy, especially in the context of regional and global developments,” Senator Udoma stated.

According to him, the federal government’s focus on stimulating and revitalising the Nigerian economy is yielding positive results already, especially through the reforms in agriculture, stimulated investment in the solid minerals sector and the ‘Made in Nigeria’ campaign.

He noted that government’s identification of 45, 000 ghost workers through the Treasury Single Account and the liberalization of fuel supply which curbed daily consumption by 30% and saved $4. 5 million daily expenditure through elimination of false subsidy claims are among the recent economic gains.

Pointing out that Nigeria has been grappling with the ‘triple shock of prices, production and power’ for most of 2016, he stated that economic recession, collapse of oil prices and the vandalization of oil pipelines that has a negative effect on electricity and gas supplies are serious challenges.

He said that the two-day retreat was conceptualised to provide an opportunity for stakeholders from the various sectors of the economy to consult and exchange views on the medium-term economic plan and facilitate enduring macroeconomic stability, economic diversification, ease business competitiveness, enhance social inclusion and assess governance processes towards enhancing rapid economic growth.

Among government officials present at the retreat, along with private sector players were the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Mr. Kayode Fayemi, Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, Minister of State for Health, Dr. Alhassan, Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Budget and National Planning, Hajia Fatima Mede, Special Adviser to the President on National Planning, Alhaji Tijani Abdullahi and a Deputy Governor of CBN, Dr. Sarah Alade.

Eminent experts invited to lead brainstorming sessions on macroeconomic reforms include Mr. Bismarck Rewane, Professor Akpan Ekpo, Dr. Abraham Nwankwo from Debt Management Office and Dr. Yemi Kale who heads the National Bureau of Statistics.

Those who examined various aspects of economic growth drivers are Mr. Bode Agusto, Professor Olu Ajakaiye, Mansur Ahmed, Mr. Linus Adie, Mr. Segun Awolowo and Dr Yemi Dipeolu, Economic Adviser in the office of the Vice President.

Those invited to analyse ideas for improving business competitiveness include Mr. Frank Nweke, Dr. Ayo Teriba, Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, Ambassador Chiedu Osakwe, Mrs Yewande Sadiku and Mr. Louis Edozien.

Aspects of social inclusion and job creation in the forthcoming economic blueprint were handled by Professor Ode Ojowu, Professor Joe Umo, Dr. Martina Nwordu and Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede who is SSA to the Vice President on Job Creation.

No Ramson Was Paid To Release 21 Chibok Girls _ DHQ

No Ransom Was Paid To Free 21 Chibok Girls – DHQ - POLITICS -

The Nigerian military said on Saturday that no ransom was paid for the release of the 21 Chibok girls freed by the Boko Haram.

The girls were among the over 200 female students kidnapped from their government owned school in Chibok, Borno State, in April 2014. Scores of the remaining g girls are still with the insurgents.

The federal government had in October denied swapping Boko Haram members in detention for the freed girls, saying the release was “the product of painstaking negotiations and trust on both sides.”

On Saturday, the military spokesperson, Rabe Abubakar, said reports of payment of ransom were not true.

Read the full statement by Mr. Abubakar below.

“The attention of Defence Headquarters (DHQ), has been drawn to a news story by the Punch newspapers alleging that ransom was paid by the government in exchange for the recently released of 21 of the abducted Chibok girls. This unsubstantiated story, to say the least, is quite unfortunate. It is important to recall here that several statements have been issued by the military high command to clarify the issue surrounding the release of the girls, which the whole world applauded. It is therefore worrisome that some sections of the media continue to undermine this modest effort of the government, security agencies and other stakeholders. It is imperative to state categorically that the sponsors of this media campaign have a hidden agenda which is best known to them.

“The military and other security agencies will not be distracted and would remain focussed in achieving its objectives in the North East. The important thing is that the release have been made and circumstances surrounding this effort should not be a matter of controversy so as not to overheat the polity and jeopardising the ongoing efforts to secure the release of the remaining girls and other innocent citizens still in captivity of the terrorists.

“The insinuations that ransom was paid to the terrorists which the terrorists used to escalate the recent attacks in the North East is completely false and imagination of the author. The general public should therefore discountenance it in its entirety.

“The DHQ wishes to once more remind the media to be cautious of such reports which has serious implication on national and to further add that, as partners in progress, the media also has a stake in the ongoing efforts to restore lasting peace in the North East and the country in general.”

Nigeria's Arm Purchase Deal With Brazil Blocked!

US Blocks Nigeria's Arms Purchase Deal From Brazil - POLITICS-

Strong indications have emerged that the United States has again blocked the Federal Government from acquiring fighter ground attack aircraft considered crucial in the ongoing campaign against Boko Haram in the North-East.

Investigations showed that the US has prevented the military from acquiring the A-29 Super Tucano light attack aircraft from Brazil.

A Presidency source said on Saturday that Nigeria and Brazil were almost striking a deal on the acquisition of the light attack aircraft when the US, which produced the aircraft, prevented the deal.

It was gathered that the leadership of the Armed Forces had taken a decision to replace the ailing Alpha jet platform of the Nigerian Air Force with the newer A-29 Super Tucano.

The source said that the Brazilians, who were initially enthusiastic about the deal, suddenly became reluctant.

The source added the US had told the Brazilians, who acquired 99 of the aircraft from the US firm, Embraer Defence System, that the aircraft deal be put on hold due to human rights issues involving the military.

The US had blocked the immediate past administration of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan from acquiring Boeing CH-47 Chinok helicopters from Israel in January 2015 purportedly due to human rights issues involving the military.

Like the case of the A-29 Super Tucano, the Boeing CH-47 Chinok helicopters were produced by US firms and could only be sold with approval by the Americans.

The latest development has dimmed indications that the US was relaxing the arms embargo on the country with the election of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.

US Congressman Darrel Isah had said shortly after a meeting with service chiefs and defence authorities in the country in August 2015 that the US had commenced the process of relaxing the embargo on military assistance to the country under the Leahy Law.

The Leahy Law prohibits the US defence sector from providing military assistance to countries involved in rights violations.

[The source added that the US Government was not pleased with measures adopted against those accused of human rights abuse in the operational areas of the North-East.

The source said, “The issue of the arms embargo against the country by the US is still in force. The US is helping in the area of training; they also have some of their platforms like the C130 which is so crucial in the campaign and operations of the military.

“However, the surprising thing is that they have again prevented the country from acquiring A29, Super Tucano light attack aircraft from Brazil.

“The US sold the aircraft to the Brazilians but they gave a condition that they could only be resold to other countries with the consent of the US. This means that Brazil must seek the permission of the US to sell.

“The Brazilians were enthusiastic when they visited Nigeria and the impression we had was that they were ready to sell, provided the funds were available.

“Curiously, they later developed cold feet because America started quoting human rights issues to block the deal.

“The aircraft are unique because the plan was to use the A-29 Super Tucano, Fighter Ground Attack aircraft to replace the ailing Alpha jets.

“The Alpha jets are old now; the Alpha jets and the MI helicopter gunships are the two major platforms deployed in the North-East.”

However, it was said that the US had inspected some facilities of the NAF even though the deal was shrouded in uncertainty.

Our correspondent gathered that the prevailing arms blockade had again compelled the government to look in the direction of Asia and Eastern Europe for arms supply to fight Boko Haram.

It was learnt that the Federal Government had paid for 10 Super Mushak trainers from Pakistan expected to arrived the country by the first week of December 2016.

It was further learnt that plans had reached an advanced stage to bring in 12 MI 35M, one of the latest helicopter gunships from Russia.

It was gathered that pilots and technicians who were sent to Russia for training on the use of the sophisticated helicopters had completed training and had returned to the country to await the arrival of the equipment.

Although the military had not changed the plan to replace the Alpha jets with the A-29 attack helicopters, the government was said to be acquiring the MI35m in phases.

"God Is Using Buhari To Punish Nigerian" _Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwuma

"God Using Buhari To Punish Nigerians" – Archbishop Chukwuma - POLITICS -

Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwuma shares his thoughts on the state of the nation and expressed worries that except the right steps are taken by the present administration, to put the country on the right pedestal, the country’s woes would continue unabated. According to him, “all is not well at all, with Nigeria.

We must sound it: All is not well.
Nigeria has become a very difficult place for people to exist.

It is as if we are in captivity and we are looking forward to God’s deliverance…. In fact, Nigeria is in captivity under Buhari”.

In this interview, Chukwuma, who is the Anglican Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, while speaking on a number of other national issues, describes the idea of sale of national assets as shameful because, “when our forefathers acquired those assets, it was for us to build on them and not for us to sell off our birth right”.

And on ‘Wife in the Kitchen issue’, he said the President’s wife should be hailed because she, “…did not speak as a president’s wife but as an ordinary Nigerian who feels the bite of the prevailing harsh economic and socio-political situation on Nigerians.

What do you make of the current state of the Nigerian nation?

The current state of the nation is very bad, very hard, very, very much uncertain, and people are very much discouraged and living with uncertainty, given the state of the economy and the current biting economic recession.

People are really tired and confused about the present government. And one is, therefore, wandering where we are heading in this country.

It has become very difficult for the common man to make three square meals a day; and salaries are not enough to help workers to cope with the harsh economic realities. The income is getting minimal even as expenditure keeps rising by the day.

Also, the exchange rate has taken a disgraceful turn under a government that had proudly promised to make the naira equal or even stronger than the dollar.

What about the rising state of unemployment?

Many more of our graduates are still unemployed. Nothing is happening about that; it has all been wishful promises hence many of them indulge in crime, even as many workers are being relieved of their jobs. So, the situation has brought upon citizens, untold sadness and despondency. A look at our security is also nothing to write home about.

In some areas there have been increased cases of kidnapping while cases of armed robbery and terrorism have continued unabated in other areas.

However, we are grateful to God that some of the terrorists are surrendering their arms and embracing amnesty. But that notwithstanding, all is not well at all, with Nigeria. We must sound it: All is not well! Nigeria has become a very difficult place for people to exist.

It is as if we are in captivity; and we are looking forward to God’s deliverance. In fact, one can say that Nigeria is in captivity under Buhari’s administration. So, we are still praying to God to take us back to the promise land, and I know that He will deliver us.

Do you think that the change which the ruling party and Buhari had repeatedly promised Nigerians during their campaigns is still achievable by the present administration?

Well, it depends on what type of change they are trying to bring in.
I heard them promise that their version of change will manifest next year. However, the change that we see now is not a good version.

The change is of hardship and people are not comfortable at all. Right now, all I can say that is good about their sermon of change is that the situation is making Nigerians to change from their life of profligacy to prudence. To me,
Buhari’s government is a punishment, and caution to Nigerians. I think that God is trying to punish us, and at the same time caution us with the present administration, for our past recklessness and mistakes as a nation. That is why I said that it is a time of captivity – where God chose to put Nigeria into the kind of biblical captivity of Assyria and Babylon.

And until we repent from our sins, God may not rescue us. So, it is a time for everybody to repent, in their small corners, from life of wastage, wickedness and impunity; and begin to live a life of prudence, love and patriotism.

My understanding of the 'Change Begins with Me' campaign is that Nigeria has come to a point where everybody should accept to begin to discipline themselves and adopt ways of righteousness and patriotism.

But sadly, as far as the Nigerian economy is concerned, we have only experienced evil change. We have not seen any good thing in our economy. There may be a change in attitude whereby people are now being more disciplined and cautious about indulging in impunity. That is all.

Lauretta Onochie Replied Reno Omokri On Hillary Clinton's Election Funding - POLITICS -

Educating Reno Omokri By Lauretta Onochie

Some years ago, I met a wonderful Nigerian/Canadian man, who was not only an intellectual but has made a mark as an entrepreneur in Canada.

During one of our many discussions, he expressed delight that his personal friend, Barack Obama, had won the nomination to run as the President of the United States of America under the Democrats.

A few weeks later, my friend was very unhappy. The source of his unhappiness? He was eager to support his friend financially. But he was not an American citizen and so, was PROHIBITED by law, American law, from contributing to his friend, Obama's campaign funds.

So, I was mortified that Reno Omokri does not, in 2016, know this fact before embarking on fabricating a story about President Muhammadu Buhari part funding Mrs. Hilary Clinton's campaign with a whooping $500 Million! And under this economic hardship that Reno's paymasters bequeathed to Nigerians?

Reno Omokri obviously views America through the lens of PDP where even funds appropriated for developmental projects, ended up being used to fund elections. Even if the government of President Buhari has the funds to spare, which it doesn't, American laws have ensured that no American candidate would foolishly accept foreign donations.

There's quite a lot such a huge amount can do at this time of Nigeria's economic recession. The government is scraping together its scarce resources to meet its daily obligations to Nigerians and corporate bodies.

For example, It has since been revealed that Reno Omokri's masters failed to pay for fertilizers in 2014 and this debt was not reflected in their handover notes. Consequently, farmers yields depreciated in the 2015 farming seasons, giving rise to the "Hunger in the land." That obligation has now been met by this administration, the reason we are optimistic about a 2016 bumper harvest.

Again, Nigeria is now compelled to pay $5billion final settlement to Western Energy Companies (Royal Dutch Shell, ExxonMobil, Eni, Chevron and Total), a group of companies involved in crude oil exploration and production in a joint venture with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

As Exploration and production costs are split between NNPC and the Western Energy Companies, NNPC failed to pay its portion of the expenses between 2010 and 2015. Five years when Nigeria made more money from crude oil sale than any other period in the nation’s history. This has prompted the groups to hold back on vital investment to continue production activities in the oil fields.

Construction companies across the nation were made to lay off their workers and abandon their equipment for lack of due payments while funds appropriated for such were used as slush funds to buy Nigerians during the 2015 elections. This information was also lacking in their hand over notes. But these obligations have also been met, and construction companies are back on their beats.

Just as Reno has continued to lie through his teeth, the President Jonathan transition team was very economical with the state of the nation's economy and indebtedness. It took one of their own, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, to inform a not-too-shocked nation that the economy had been down for three years before Pres. Buhari came along.

The Jonathan era was when the administration elevated corruption from the ordinary to the ridiculous. People like Reno Omokri sold lies for a living and has continued to do so. But Nigerians are sick and tired of the lies of the Jonathanian era. They know the truth. They won't swallow their lies anymore because they know it's corruption fighting back.

The more we try to forget these people who ruined our nation, the more they remind us of their ignoble deeds that brought our nation on its knees. It was therefore, a cheery piece of news when the Federal Government restored History, as a subject in our schools' curriculum. That means we can now freely discuss the sins of the past administration without being told to move on. It also means that our children can learn how Reno Omokri's masters squandered our commonwealth in selfish and ostentatious living.

How can we know where we are heading to if we do not relate to our past? How can we avoid repeating past mistakes if we bury the past and refuse to even talk about it? We will continue to confront and shame them with the facts and the truth.

When in 2015 some Nigerians invoked Isaiah 54:17 on President Buhari, those who ruined our nation thought it was a joke. Reno Omokri and his ignoble team are experiencing it today. Lies after lies, and they get exposed for the fraud they are.

American elections are funded with American Money. A simple question on google could have saved Reno Omokri this mockery and embarrassment. As usual, with all his lies, Reno has mud in his face. Always ask Google.
